The conceptual 'Coffee Composer' is an interactive appliance for beverage brewing that will provide users with a futuristic way to create their very own drink. Designed by Xinyue Yang and Antonia Nandori, the system works by having users stack different near-field communication (NFC) tokens to create a beverage; for example, a milk token, espresso token and foam token for a cappuccino. The tokens are then position onto the top of the appliance to start the brewing process and will elegantly craft drinks in an almost orchestrally inspired manner that is a delight to watch.
The conceptual 'Coffee Composer' works with a wireless payment system to let users simply tap a card to pay for their drink, which further increases the autonomous nature of the appliance.
