The Starbucks Cloud Frappuccino is Arriving in Three Flavors

— April 30, 2026 — Lifestyle
The Starbucks Cloud Frappuccino is a new take on the cafe brand's classic blended coffee drink that elevates it with a cloud-like composition to give it a flavor-driven overhaul. The drinks are being launched onto the brand's menu at participating locations in the UK and boast a blended recipe that's topped with cold foam to give each one a sweet, creamy taste and texture. The drinks are debuting in three flavors including Brown Sugar, Strawberry Matcha and Caramel Mocha, which are arriving for the summer as the perfect option for coffee fans and non-coffee drinkers alike to order.

Manager of Beverage Development EMEA Sam Henderson spoke on the Starbucks Cloud Frappuccino saying, "We saw an exciting opportunity to reimagine one of our most iconic beverages for summer with the new Cloud Frappuccino® blended beverage range. Inspired by growing interest in texture-led drinks, we’ve brought cold foam to Frappuccino® blended beverages to create a layered, sensory experience – reimagining familiar favourites while showcasing barista craft and innovation behind every cup.”

Trend Themes

  1. Texture-led Beverages — Rising consumer interest in mouthfeel and layered textures creates opportunities for drinks that prioritize sensory complexity over traditional flavor profiles.
  2. Cloud-foam Layering — Cold-foam and aeration techniques applied as distinct layers enable new product formats that differentiate familiar beverages through visual and tactile contrast.
  3. Flavor-inclusive Offerings — Expanding flavor variants aimed at both coffee and non-coffee drinkers supports broader menu appeal and the development of hybrid beverages that cross category boundaries.

Industry Implications

  1. Coffee Retail — Specialty chains and independent cafes can leverage texture-focused recipes to redefine signature offerings and capture premium pricing through crafted sensory experiences.
  2. Foodservice Equipment — Manufacturers of blenders, foaming devices, and dispensing systems stand to disrupt operations by enabling consistent, scalable production of layered and aerated beverages.
  3. Beverage Ingredient Suppliers — Suppliers of stabilizers, flavor concentrates, and dairy alternatives can innovate formulations that maintain foam stability and mouthfeel across temperature and shelf-life conditions.
