The fall and winter season is the perfect time to indulge in fantasy and instead of channeling one's inner Disney princess, women can adopt a more circus chic wardrobe. More mature and, arguably, glamorous, the looks are made for imaginative femme fatales who want to add a bit of whimsy to their otherwise edgy ensembles. With intricate embellishments, tons of texture and and intriguing silhouettes, the circus chic fashion is to die for.

Appearing in the October 2014 issue of Fashion Magazine, the circus chic editorial is captured on the set of Cirque du Soliel Kurios production in Montreal, Canada. Shot by photographer Chris Nicholls, it stars model Alexandra Tomlinson, who manages to stand out against the elaborate backdrops as well as performing acrobats. Beauty artist Genevieve Lenneville finished her look.
