See-Through Spring Editorials

The Purple Fashion Cinematic Knitwear Photoshoot Shows Clear Pieces

The Purple Fashion Cinematic Knitwear editorial is currently on display in the magazine's Spring/Summer 2014 edition. Model Rila Fukushima was dressed by stylist Yasuko Furuta in each image, all captured here by photographer Chikashi Suzuki.

Consistent throughout each one of Suzuki's images is see-through apparel. Fukushima sports clear skirts and long, draping pieces that reveal layers of clothing lying just beneath the pieces. Furuta chose to highlight high rise shorts of varying colors by way of the translucent apparel, enabling the stylist to create assorted degrees of depth via the outfits.

Suzuki's consistent use of light blue coloring matched the clear ensembles well. While transparency was key to this production, the aquatic shades added color to the otherwise pale clothing items.
