Chocolate Wrapper Handbags

Rachel Comey Turns Unreal Packaging into a Runway Accessory

Rachel Comey is transforming chocolate wrapper handbags with the Coco Bag, a limited-edition collaboration with better-for-you snack brand Unreal. Debuting during the designer’s Spring/Summer 2027 runway show, the $425 accessory draws directly from the interior of an Unreal chocolate wrapper. Its silver Tyvek exterior recreates the packaging’s metallic appearance, while a striped cotton interior incorporates colors from both brands. Custom pockets are also designed to carry Unreal chocolate alongside everyday essentials.

The collaboration turns recognizable consumer packaging into a functional fashion object, giving Unreal a presence beyond traditional food and retail environments. Appearing at New York Fashion Week allows the snack company to connect with fashion-focused audiences while generating cultural visibility around its branding. For Rachel Comey, the partnership provides a playful limited-edition accessory tied to its 25th anniversary, while demonstrating how unconventional brand collaborations can create collectible products and reach overlapping consumer communities.
