Tokyo-based fashion label BAL introduces the Chance Operation collection designed specifically for the Fall/Winter 2019 season. The pieces are true to its playful design aesthetic, as per usual, highlighting an inspiration drawn from the late composer John Cage. Cage was one of the leading contributors of post-war avant-garde concepts.
The seasonal lookbook is shot in front of a green screen and explores experimental approaches of various settings. The backdrops explore some intense settings, playing on the concept that the garments are ultra-functional. Some of the standout pieces in the range include the jumpers sporting original patterns, the multifunctional outerwear, and the tees adorning work by contemporary artist Jose Parla. Notably, the label also uses progressive materials with the use of nylon metal technology, triple layer moisture-wicking fabric, and fleece and polyester blends for wind-resistance.
