Cash App Tags is a new line of NFC-enabled payment accessories linked to a user's Cash App Card. The first release is the Cash App Wand, a limited-edition pearlescent charm that functions as a tap-to-pay device. Equipped with a keychain attachment, the accessory can be clipped to bags or carried separately for contactless transactions anywhere Visa tap payments are accepted. The Wand is available to eligible Cash App Card holders for $25 plus applicable sales tax.
The accessory connects directly to a customer's Cash App Card and draws from the same Cash App balance. Users can manage the Tag through the app with transaction notifications, fraud monitoring, and controls to lock, unlock, or deactivate the device. Cash App notes there are no minimum balance or activity requirements, and the product is available to eligible users aged 13 and older.
