Junya Watanabe and Carhartt Co-Created Uniquely Painted Jackets
Fashion label Junya Watanabe introduced its Spring/Summer 2018 pieces at the recent Paris Fashion Week, featuring some unique styles created in collaboration with label Carhartt. More specifically, the two brands collaboratively crafted outerwear pieces accented with paint-splattered details. The two jackets boast colorful painted elements on top of an off-white canvas. The jackets have a silhouette of a short militaristic jacket with elbow patches and a longer trench coat with button closures.
The militaristic jacket resembles Carhartt's iconic Chore coat, decorated with blue and green paint markings, with a brown corduroy collar and matching elbow patches. The other offering resembles the label's Mac coat, accented with painted markings of red, white and blue. The Chore coat is priced at $1,658 and the Mac coat is priced at $1,452.
