Tru Western is exploring location-captured fragrances with Leather Vintage Label No. 5 Canyon Echoes, a cologne designed to translate the landscape of West Texas into scent. Developed after an 889-mile journey through the region, the fragrance combines Desert Acacia, Cactus Water and Amberwood. Givaudan’s Scent Trek technology was used to capture the aroma of native Desert Acacia in its natural environment without harvesting the plant, creating a direct sensory connection to the landscape. Country artist Braxton Keith supports the launch through a campaign rooted in his West Texas background.
For Tru Western, connecting fragrance development to a specific location gives Canyon Echoes a stronger origin story in a crowded scent category. The approach also reinforces the brand’s Western identity while demonstrating how scent-capture technology can support more authentic place-based formulations. Keith’s involvement extends that regional storytelling to country music audiences and strengthens the fragrance’s cultural positioning
