Based in East London, United Kingdom and founded all the way back in 1977, Calverts is a cooperative that offers services such as printing, digital media, communications design and more. They design both web and print media for variety of different venues and publication platforms -- literally almost anything you can imagine. The printed work is produced on sustainable paper, a gesture they work into their environmentally friendly ethos.
"The firm’s assets are owned in common by the workforce, who are paid equally," they write on their website about their socially focused business model. All members participate in strategic management, and profits are reinvested in the co-operative or used for community aims.
