The California Milk Advisory Board, in partnership with innovation consultancy VentureFuel, has opened applications for the 2026 Real California Milk Excelerator. This is a dairy-focused startup accelerator program that is now in its eighth year.
The Real California Milk Excelerator provides mentorship, industry connections, retail access, commercialization support, and non-dilutive funding opportunities for emerging food and beverage companies developing innovative products made with at least 50% dairy. The program includes both incubator and accelerator tracks, with the 2026 edition placing increased emphasis on retail readiness, investor access, and artificial intelligence-enabled sales and marketing tools that help founders identify market opportunities, analyze consumer trends, and optimize go-to-market strategies.
Selected participants engage in a ten-week program culminating in an in-person California showcase, where accelerator cohort members compete in a live pitch competition, with up to four finalists receiving $30,000 in marketing support and the chance to unlock an additional $100,000 based on in-market performance over the following twelve months.
