Tal Maslavi has unveiled a new dessert-themed creation dubbed the ‘Cake Derby’ shoe, first seen on foot at the Shenkar 2022 Graduation fashion show. The oxford-style shoe features classic silver eyelets and black laces, enhanced by black leather uppers that extend throughout the shoe. The highlight of the silhouette is a missing chunk where layered cake pieces are exposed, arriving in three chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla flavors.
The shoes feature chunky rubber soles with teeth-like grooves. The footwear offering appears mostly functional, appearing alongside other dessert-themed apparel at the runway show. An official release has yet to be confirmed, but consumers can view prototype images and Maslavi’s Instagram account for more information ahead of its upcoming debut.
