Stationary brand Bond has started a new business venture with the release of the Bond Black app. This smartphone-friendly feature will allow users to revive the dying art of handwritten letters.
Pairing handwriting with the convenience of digital technology, the Bond Black app is an invitation-only application, which allows consumers to send and receive personalized notes. Upon downloading the app, users can type out a message and a recipient's address before the Bond brand prints the message on a 100% cotton notecard using carbon high-quality ink. Users can choose between the 40 handwriting styles provided or incorporate their own handwriting for an extra $2,000.
Consumers looking for an invitation must request one on the Bond Black website. Once invited, these consumers are subject to a year-long membership which costs $1,200.
