The Bloomingdale NFL Helmets are a series of 18 haute couture tacky helmets being auctioned off by the retailer to benefit the NFL Foundation. The NFL Foundation and retailer partnered up to pay tribute to the 2014 Super Bowl and raise funds for a great cause. Bloomingdale’s sought after 48 designers to create uniquely expressive helmets. The results are masterpiece designs and some just down-right bizarre helmets. The helmet bidding is to start at a minimum of $248.
The Bloomingdale’s NFL helmets are geared towards women to include an under represented demographic of football fans. The helmets are supposed to be seen as fashion statements, however some of the designs look more like fashion crimes.
The shocking helmets are bound to sell for charity no matter how outlandish the design.
