Boldly Barren Jewelry Lookbooks

The Black Betty Shapeshifters Collection Does Away with Detailing

The Black Betty Shapeshifters lookbook is the latest installment to come of designer Kristin Weixelbaumer. The jewelry maven has displayed her current pieces with as few embellishments as is possible, displaying the items with the help of a topless model.

The Shapeshifters line is inspired by Weixelbaumer's travels to India. Although based in Cape Town, she incorporates knowledge of the healing properties present in stones that she picked up while away. Consequently, the stones featured in this series are ethically sourced, natural and hand cut.

Model Patricia Laloya does an excellent job of showcasing the geometric items. Present are triangle shapes, dangling earrings and elongated chains that hang gracefully around wrists and fingers. Although striking, the collection is simplistic and classic.
