'BIORESTORE' is a company that launched with the goal of creating an easy-to-use solution for reducing clothing waste and revitalizing old clothing. The company tried each of the current popular methods of clothing restoration, including razors, scissors, combs, tape, detergents, and many more. Each of these methods did not deliver results that BIORESTORE was satisfied with.
The company then sought to create its own product that it calls a "retergent." In addition to removing lint, garment fuzz, and bobbles from old clothing, the BIORESTORE retergent also increases color vibrance and color definition after just one wash. The solution works in a washing machine by targeting imperfections in clothing and weakening them, then having the centrifugal force of the laundry machine remove the imperfections. The BIORESTORE Retergent is currently live on Kickstarter, where it has already received nearly three times its funding goal. On top of this, the campaign has received the 'Loved by Kickstarter' label from the platform.
