BeoLens Horizon Concept by Baptiste Baumeister Reframes Projectors
References: baptistebaumeister
The BeoLens Horizon by Baptiste Baumeister is a projector concept designed as a sculptural home object rather than a conventional electronic device. French designer Baumeister reimagines the projector through a material palette of light ash wood, brushed aluminum, and woven fabric, drawing from Bang & Olufsen’s design language. The concept is presented in two formats: a low horizontal unit resembling a soundbar and a taller cylindrical version designed to stand as a freestanding object.
The horizontal model conceals its projection system beneath a slatted wood panel, where the lens slides out only when in use. Controls are integrated directly into the surface as minimal etched icons, removing the need for visible buttons or screens. Internally, the layout positions the speaker array between layered materials, with the projector mechanism housed centrally.
