Risque Lace and Leather Looks

The Belle Sauvage Fall 2011 Collection is Naughty and Nice

With all of the ladylike, retro looks seemingly taking over the runways over the past few seasons in the fashion world, it is quite a refreshing surprise to see the Belle Sauvage Fall 2011 collection. The line is full of my favorite two looks combined: leather and lace.

Bringing together leather and lace always creates a great juxtaposition that designers should definitely explore more often. While the Belle Sauvage Fall 2011 collection is certainly reminiscent of Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection (you know, the one with the 10-inch armadillo heels and sculptural dresses), it is a lot darker and more sultry. The looks are comprised of leather cut-outs, architectural accessories and lots of graphic prints.

Worn by celebrities like Katy Perry, Florence Welch and La Roux, the London-based label is synonymous with edgy glamor and the Belle Sauvage Fall 2011 video demonstrates that perfectly.
