Single-Shade Styles

The Bassike Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook Bucks the Color-Blocking Theme

Last summer, we gave you a look at the Bassike Spring/Summer 2011 collection, and these just-released images of the lookbook for the line offer even more style inspiration.

Designers Mary Lou Ryan and Deb Sams kept the color-blocking phenomenon we've seen nearly every designer use this season to a minimum in the Bassike Spring/Summer 2011 collection, instead opting for outfits comprised of single shades, such as the all-red combination in the first image or the all-white, all-black or all-navy outfits in the photos that follow.

This Bassike lookbook shows how to rock a single preferred shade in style. My favorite piece in the photo set is the black shift dress in the eighth image; the model's retro sunglasses give the look an especially appealing aesthetic.
