This baby wrap startup sells hand-woven wraps designed by baby-wearing mothers. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, TieLark is now in production. Founded by Bernadeth Betchi and Jenna, the Canadian company offers baby wraps for baby-wearing moms by baby-wearing moms.
Currently TieLark offers the Prism Wrap in a variety of sizes as well as a Wrap Scrap Wristlet. Their website offers not just a store section, but tying instructions and reviews too.
The practice of wearing or carrying a baby in a sling or carrier is one that has been around for hundreds of years in different parts of the world, from Cameroon to Canada. To the owners, operators and producers, the baby wrap also represents "the weaving of friendship and partnership," community bonds and the bond between parents and kids.
