Native Shoes, a Vancouver-based sustainable footwear label, is introducing a new silhouette to its repertoire ahead of the summer fashion season, called the Ava Bloom.
Available in four versatile shades, the Ava Bloom takes designs cues from a classic mule silhouette and modernizes it with eco-friendly materials. In this case, Native Shoes utilizes repurposed algae, which also makes the shoes waterproof, resistant to odor, easy to clean, and highly durable. The slip-on shoes can be dressed up for a date night, worn to the office, or simply styled with jeans and a t-shirt—making them the perfect all-round summer purchase.
In line with its other sustainable footwear releases, Native Shoes' Ava Bloom silhouette works towards its goal of giving 100 percent of shoes an end of life solution by 2023. Shoppers in the US can access the new silhouette online, and Canadians can expect it to launch on April 16th.
