The autonomous cargo drone produced by Bell has recently had a successful inaugural flight, with a scheduled testing period continuing through the year. Bell's autonomous cargo drone is titled the APT 70 and is nine feet long and six feet wide. The drone was designed as a delivery drone that can transport packages. In order to better streamline package delivery capabilities, Bell has collaborated with logistic company Yamato. Both of the companies will attempt to make the drone ready for deliveries in the next few years.
The drone has a range of 16 miles and is able to carry 70 pounds. The drone will fly fully on its own and will be the centerpiece of the company's humanless delivery network.
