Apple Music's Black History Month playlist was curated by famed makeup artist Pat McGrath. This release is just one initiative from the music streaming giant that hopes to celebrate the achievements of Black artists. Alongside this playlist, arrives original content from Ava DuVernay, Tracee Ellis Ross, Naomi Campbell and more.
The playlist features five hours of music that falls into the theme of ‘Matriarch’ and ultimately celebrates the strength and leadership of Black women. In a press release regarding the collaboration, McGrath stated "Curating nearly five hours of music from inspirational icons and legendary ladies of the past, present and future was a joy".
The playlist features songs from Whitney Houston, Megan Thee Stallion and more.
