Moss-Inspired Runners

ANT KAI ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 Receives a Handcrafted Makeover

ANT KAI ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 "MOSS" reinterprets the performance runner with handcrafted details inspired by moss-covered rocks and natural landscapes. The custom design begins with the silhouette's gray mesh upper, layered beneath a burlap-textured fabric that serves as the foundation for hand-stitched moss embroidery. ASICS' signature Tiger Stripes are recreated using textured moss-like material across the side panels before extending onto the toe box to continue the botanical theme.

Metallic silver overlays feature intentionally distressed scuffs that introduce a weathered finish across the upper. Heavy-duty rope laces replace the standard lace set, while painted mismatched heel panels add contrasting color details that coordinate with the embroidered textures. The one-of-one custom project combines organic surface treatments with the technical construction of the original GEL-KAYANO 14, presenting the performance silhouette through a handcrafted artistic interpretation.
