Disheveled Mennonite Captures

Amish by Daniel Jaroszek for Label Magazine is Hauntingly Beautiful

The Amish by Daniel Jaroszek for Label Magazine is a captivating series featuring a family of models resembling members of a Mennonite community. The girl, boy and child are photographed in an abandoned field that appears dry, dead and barren.

The photographer has created a haunting vibe with the dark clouds in the background, and the models are photographed with unhappy facial expressions. The stylist, Edvard Mess, has dressed the models in ripped dresses, tights, hats and dirty blouses. He has smeared dirt across their clothes and bodies creating a scruffy and unkept look. As well, he has added nose piercings, lip rings and chain earrings, which gives the models a rebellious edge.

Daniel Jaroszek is a young Polish photographer whose work has been featured in UMNO Magazine, WeTheUrban Magazine and Shh!uter.
