Alta Collection Has Italian Ingredients and Scents from the Globe

— June 5, 2026 — Fashion
Alta Collection is a new fragrance range from Bottega Veneta comprising ten Eau de Parfum compositions inspired by connections between Italy and global perfumery traditions. Each scent combines ingredients associated with Italy alongside accords sourced from other regions, creating distinct olfactory narratives that move between freshness, warmth, and deeper evening-inspired notes.

Fragrances in the collection include Montebello, which pairs Italian blood orange with North African neroli, and Ricordami, built around a stracciatella ice cream accord layered with oakwood. Other compositions draw on ingredients such as basil, vetiver, fig, cedarwood, saffron, oud, vanilla, plum, and labdanum.

The collection is presented in refillable bottles made from recycled glass. Each vessel features a sculptural surface inspired by Bottega Veneta's signature Intrecciato weave, translating the pattern into a geometric three-dimensional texture.

Trend Themes

  1. Cross-cultural Perfumery — Blending regional ingredients with global accords creates room for luxury fragrance houses to build more layered scent stories that resonate across heritage, travel, and identity.
  2. Gourmand Heritage Scents — Dessert-inspired notes tied to cultural memory are expanding fine fragrance beyond traditional florals and woods into emotionally rich, premium sensory territory.
  3. Refillable Sculptural Packaging — Recycled glass vessels with collectible design details are positioning sustainability as a visible luxury cue rather than a compromise in high-end beauty.

Industry Implications

  1. Fine Fragrance — Ingredient pairings that connect local botanicals with international perfumery traditions are reshaping how niche and designer scent collections express exclusivity.
  2. Luxury Fashion — Fashion houses with recognizable design codes can extend brand equity into beauty through packaging, texture, and sensory storytelling that mirror signature craftsmanship.
  3. Sustainable Packaging — Premium refill systems and recycled materials are creating new value in beauty packaging where environmental performance, tactility, and shelf appeal converge.
