Designer Alex Casabò has reimagined the modern smart speaker, unveiling a new floating concept that is equal parts calming and mystifying. The new smart device features a spherical speaker that hovers above a metallic base.
Interestingly, despite its future-forward design, the new speaker has a notably organic aesthetic. This is due, in large part, to the rough texture of the speaker mesh, as well as the natural colorways it is offered in. Moreover, the metallic base comes with a course finish, giving it a stone-like quality.
In addition, the speaker delivers a unique visual feedback system. It uses internal lights to display icons and text on the face of the sphere, adding to its futuristic quality.
