Nike Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary With Tonal Air Max 97

To celebrate its 25th anniversary Nike has announced the launch of an all-new Air Max 97 silhouette, which boasts a retro-themed design and old-school color scheme.

What makes the new model stand out in particular, however, is the unique combination of materials used in its construction; the shoe expertly blends suede, mesh, canvas, and terry cloth to create a multi-textured aesthetic that evokes vintage '90s apparel. In addition, the sneaker is dressed in a tan colorway, which is paired nicely with a rubber gum sole. Nike's signature 'Retro' branding is also seen on the heel tabs and insoles.

For those interested, the sneaker is set to drop on May 21, where it will be sold on Nike's website and at select retailers.
