AI-Powered Freight Invoice Auditors

nShift Introduced Audit for Carrier Bill Recovery

nShift introduced 'Audit,' an AI-powered carrier invoice audit and recovery tool that clarifies dense freight bills. It features models that ingest varied invoice formats and convert them into a standardized, machine-readable form. The system launched on August 27 and is built to process large PDF invoices that list thousands of shipment lines and totals, which previously required manual checking.

Once standardized, Audit cross-checks invoices against nShift’s existing shipment and cost data to identify suspect lines. The platform surfaces a short list of lines for review rather than forcing teams to comb through hundreds of pages, and it flags instances where a shipper booked out-of-spec services.

The product is designed for operational use, enabling teams to run it on every invoice and treat it as continuous insurance against billing errors. By making complex freight auditing self-service, nShift aims to extend carrier-recovery tools to smaller shippers and reduce manual auditing workloads.
