As artificial intelligence is being employed across a variety of platforms, a partnership between Microsoft and Qualcomm seeks to assist all developers in implementation through a computer vision-based AI developer kit.
Computer vision is complex as it relies on advanced neural networks (Convolutional Neural Networks is a good example) and deep learning algorithms. For many developers, this is a challenge as it warrants them to have a superior understanding of the aforementioned components. Even beyond this, model deployment is often another obstacle. The Vision AI Developer Kit alleviate this through the simplification of "training and deploying computer vision-based AI models." While Microsoft's platform delivers Cloud-based AI and IoT services via Azure for training, the deployment can be executed through Qualcomm's AI accelerator.
