Based in Canada, Janis is a startup founded by Josh Barkin that is just the latest in bots-based customer service messaging tools. Janis allows you to "train and monitor AI from Slack to accelerate automation and reduce time and costs associated with customer service."

In a dedicated Slack channel, you will be able to simulate bot conversations to better define and categorize user engagement. The monitoring feature sends alerts when it's time for a human to take over. You also gain insight through analytics and see where your AI customer service agent needs more training.
