Taking inspiration from the intricate hair braids of the Carpathian gypsies, the 'System and Form' accessory collection by Agnes Kovacs is a modern take on tradition. Based in Budapest, Hungary, the avant-garde designer creates sculptural hat and bag accessories that rely on complex geometric weaving elements.

The pieces, each made of durable leather materials, are crafted using a range of braiding techniques that vary from three, four, five or even twenty two branch styles.

When constructing her unique accessories, designer Agnes Kovacs typically work with a flat leather surfaces that she later braids for increased visual impact. These one-of-a-kind accessories successfully merge traditional construction techniques with modern design lines, making them covetable to present-day style-setters.
