A NYC restaurant uses its roof to grow large quantities of their ingredients, largely thanks to Chef John Mooney's innovative aeroponic garden.

The aeroponic garden is a marvel of sustainability, has no carbon footprint and is largely soil-free. On top of all that, the plants in the aeroponic garden require absolutely no pesticides or chemicals, meaning when they are brought down to the kitchen after being harvested they are both safe to eat and delicious.
