Couture Cornrow Editorials

The Harper's Bazaar Arabia A Lightness of Being Photoshoot is Coiffed

The Harper's Bazaar Arabia editorial titled A Lightness of Being showcases couture ways to wear cornrow styles. Model Smith Vanders sported the look with the help of hair expert Shindesu who separated tresses into six separate parts.

Stylist Katie Trotter dressed Vanders head to toe in striking, dainty apparel. Frilly light pink hats and flowing tassels were revealed in each one of photographer Wendelien Daan's images.

A consistent off-white and rose color palette furthered the highly feminine appeal of A Lightness of Being. Much like the title lets on, Trotter produced a series of ensembles ideal for light looks that suit springtime settings. When topped with lace-lined hats and sheer face coverings, Vanders also came across as both prim and proper.
