Male Face Transplants

James Maki is First Man to Receive a New Face

The first male to receive a face transplant, James Maki, revealed his new appearance yesterday. James Maki received the radical procedure on April 9th, years after his accident.

The surgery took place at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and was free to James Maki. It was successful and he says he is doing well.

Very cool to see medicine advancing to such great places!

Implications - Outward appearance and attitude is of high value in today's selfcentric society, and thus, companies that make efforts to care for the minorities and the disabled stand out in a world of heavy-hearted consumers. The ability for a company to state their compassion towards less fortunate individuals and charities makes consumers feel more comfortable investing capital in their products and services.
