Bassline Synth Clones

Behringer Created a More Affordable Version of Roland's TB-303 Synth

German multinational audio equipment company Behringer has released the TD-3-SR bassline synthesizer as an affordable clone for Roland's classic TB-303 unit.

While the original Roland TB-303 was only produced from 1981 to 1984, this portable instrument has come a long way in helping to shape the current electronic music landscape on a global scale.

The Italian-designed and engineered clone has been replicated to include the original analog circuitry, iconic rhythms and unique resonate filter qualities. Its features include a sawtooth/square waveform VCO, the iconic 4-pole low-pass resonant filter, 16-step sequencer, and arpeggiator. Unlike the original, this unit comes with a brand new distortion circuit modeled after the Boss DS-1 pedal to give the sound more edge.

The TD-3-SR synth is available for €149 through Behringer's website.
