The New Balance 997S Boasts a Tonal Understated Update

New Balance gives its signature 997S sneaker model an update that mainly spotlights the colorway. The new tonal finish is understated with a slight pop of color for a bright finish. Blending together black and neo classic blue as the foundational base, the model boasts a bright branding detail on the lateral side of the model in a hue entitled 'Lava Red.'

The uppers have a composite construction that features textural mesh and suede materials in paneling manners. The bright blue color can be seen on the sneaker's heel clip and the toe cap that is made from soft suede materials to add a slight contrast at the base. The Lava Red is seen on the aforementioned lateral side in the form of the 'N' as a branding accent and at the midfoot section.
