Corporate Critique Watches

The '8to5' Wristwatch Critiques Business America

The grind of the working world was the inspiration for the aptly named '8to5' Wristwatch. The watch was designed by Paul Kweton as both a tribute and a critique of the workaday world that we live in.

The face of the 8to5 Wristwatch has two shaded sections and only the numbers eight and five visible. The shaded areas represent the hours spent in the office or out on the job while eight and five signal the start and end of the typical workday. The watch has a smooth strap inspired by an I-Beam of all things. The eight hour workday may not be going away anytime soon, which is why it's nice to see a design that fashionably pokes fun at corporate America.
