Balmain's New '44 François Premier' Evening Line Exudes Luxury

The '44 François Premier' collection is Balmain's latest project and it spotlights luxurious eveningwear. The name of the new line dates back to when Balmain first started in 1945 -- the number 44 on rue François is the first location of the set up shop in Paris. The high-end brand endured many changes since then, but this captivating collection pays homage to the brand's mere beginnings.

Designed by none other than Olivier Rousteing himself, the capsule features 10 pieces that transform Balmain's edgy aesthetic into one that is fit for the red carpet. Some details from the collection include mesh materials, plunging necklines, and the iconic use of sparkles. Rousteing states, "Working on this collection is a bit of a palette cleanser for me — a chance to return to the beginnings of this house, with the single driving goal being that of creating unique and exquisite pieces, far removed from editorial and runway pressures.”
