Sublime Celestial Photography

2014 Astronomy Photographer of the Year Comp will Take Breaths Away

The winners have yet to be announced, but the images submitted into the 2014 Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition shows that it will be a tough race. With more than 2,500 entries, the judges will have a hard time narrowing it down for the four categories: Earth and Space, Our Solar System, Deep Space, and Young Astronomy Photographer of the year.

Some cosmic-loving individuals decided to stay a little more grounded than others with images of both land and sky while others have soared way above the clouds to capture magnificent nebulae and more. Run by the Royal Observatory Greenwich in association with BBC Sky at Night Magazine, the 2014 Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition is a must-see.
