Vello Launched the 'Ultralight' E-Bike as the Lightest Bike to Date

The Vello Ultralight is the latest electric bicycle from the Vienna-based micro-mobility manufacturer. As its name implies, the Ultralight was designed to be incredibly lightweight. While Vello's previous bike, the Vello Bike+ Titanium, weighed only 11.9kg, the Ultralight weighs only 9.9kg, marking the first-ever e-bike that weighs less than 10kg.

On top of its light weight, the Ultralight is foldable, resulting in this e-bike being arguably the easiest to carry on the market. The frame of the Ultralight is made out of titanium, while the accessory parts are manufactured out of carbon fiber. One of the most notable features of the Ultralight, aside from its weight, is its hidden battery. According to Vello, the battery has been integrated into the engine in order to conserve both weight and space, which was achieved through leveraging proprietary Formula 1 technologies.
