Sunshare Technology has introduced the Glory Semi-Solid Balcony Power Storage System at the IFA 2025 consumer electronics trade show in Berlin. The product is characterized as a semi-fixed unit intended for balcony installation. It intends to capture solar energy and store it for household use.
A central feature of Sunshare Technology's system is its eXtraSolid technology, which incorporates three primary components — a semi-solid state battery chemistry promoted for its thermal stability, an integrated automatic fire suppression mechanism, and a smart battery management system that perpetually oversees performance and health. The system is modular, allowing for storage capacity to be scaled from a base of 1.5 kWh to a maximum of 10 kWh. It also includes dual MPPT controllers to enhance energy harvesting from solar panels and an intelligent energy management system designed to prioritize self-consumption of solar power, thereby potentially reducing electricity drawn from the utility grid.
