Each piece is reduced to its essential shape while maintaining clear visual distinction between the King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn. The design prioritizes readability during play and focuses on proportion, balance, and recognition rather than decorative detailing.
The pieces are CNC-machined from solid recycled aluminum and finished with polishing, glass bead blasting, and anodizing to create a uniform matte surface. Internal brass weights provide stability, while leather pads protect the board and improve handling. The Knight receives a particularly simplified treatment while preserving the silhouette and character associated with the piece.
