The ASPER 79 GHz radar platform is capable of "covering a field-of-view of 180° with one radar chip." This consolidated architecture for vehicle perception is designed to perform multiple exterior safety functions like parking assistance and blind spot monitoring, alongside an integrated in-cabin monitoring module that combines radar with a camera to track driver alertness and occupant presence.
Through its sensor system innovation, NOVELIC offers a method for automakers to reduce component count, simplify vehicle assembly, and meet evolving regional safety assessment protocols that mandate robust interior monitoring for top crash-test ratings.
