Frey Bike's Savannah Hybrid Runner Features a Massive 1-kWh Battery

Frey Bike unveiled its upcoming multipurpose e-bike, the Savannah Hybrid Runner. This bike notably features a 21-Ah, 1-kWh battery, one of the largest capacities ever seen on an electric bike. This 1,000-Wh battery is paired with a 1,000-watt Bafang rear-hub motor, which collectively deliver a maximum range of 200 kilometers, or roughly 125 miles, per charge. The speed of the bike can be limited to any value in order to adhere to local e-bike regulations.

In order to keep the weight down while using incredibly powerful electric components, Frey Bike opted to use aluminum alloy 6061 for the frame. This results in the bike being carriable short distances, while also supporting a maximum payload of roughly 330 pounds. Customers can pick up Frey Bike's Savannah Hybrid Runner at the company's website for prices beginning at $2,580 USD.
