BMC's 'Roadmachine 01 AMP X' Achieves a 28 Mph Top Speed with a TQ Motor

BMC unveiled its latest performance-focused, high-torque e-bike, the 'Roadmachine 01 AMP X.' This bike features a compact TQ-HPR50 drive system, which connects to the TQ mobile application. The TQ-branded motor boasts a maximum 50 Nm of torque and achieves a top speed restricted to 28mph to adhere to regulations. Additionally, the bike's maximum speed is reduced even further to meet the regulations of other markets.

The Roadmachine 01 AMP X is powered by a 360 Wh battery pack, which can power the TQ-HPR50's 300w output motor for just over an hour of intense usage. However, BMC did not provide range estimations for the bike, meaning this could fluctuate greatly once the bike reaches the general consumer market.

The BMC Roadmachine 01 AMP X is available for preorder now at an MSRP of $9,556 USD.
