Renault Interiors Will No Longer Feature Animal Leather

Renault interiors are being further refined by the automotive brand after talks with PETA France that will see animal leather phased out as part of a shift towards animal-free finishes. The announcement comes on the heels of PETA's Vegan Car Interior Survey released last year and will see Renault expand its existing range of eco-friendly interior fabrics as well as recycled materials. The interior finishings update prioritizes animal-free materials, but also eco-friendly materials as part of a shift towards sustainable solutions.

The updated Renault interiors will also do double duty to increase their sustainability by cutting the carbon emissions associated with the leather industry. The shift speaks to a larger movement within the industry as drivers also embrace the alternative finishings.
