'Gogoro' Created a Solid-State Battery with 'ProLogium Technology'

'Gogoro,' the Taiwan-based smart vehicle solutions company, has created a prototype solid-state battery in collaboration with ProLogium Technology. This battery will retroactively suit Gogoro's e-bike and scooter models, meaning existing users will not have to buy a new vehicle. Solid-state batteries provide a variety of benefits over traditional electric batteries, such as reduced weight, increased capacity, faster charging, and more energy efficiency.

On top of being more efficient and delivering greater performance to Gogoro's vehicles, these batteries will be hot-swappable. While this solid-state battery is only a prototype, Gogoro has already tested swappable batteries for its bikes and scooters before, and these tests were met with great success. Currently, 95% of electric two-wheelers in Taiwan use Gogoro's battery solutions, meaning this hot-swappable solid-state battery would make a huge impact on the industry.
