Maserati's 'Project24' Racecar Boasts a Weight of Only 1,250 Kg

Maserati announced its upcoming track-focused hypercar, currently named 'Project24.' This hypercar boasts a lightweight carbon fiber body comprised of very few additional materials, such as polycarbonates. As a result of this, the Project24 weighs approximately 1,250kg, or only 2755 pounds. This means the ultra-light vehicle will achieve incredibly fast speeds when its acutely aerodynamic frame is also factored into play.

In terms of its concrete performance, the Project24 features a V6 Nettuno engine with turbochargers, resulting in a powerful 740 horsepower at the wheels. In addition to this, the Project24 includes track-ready Brembo brakes as well as racing-focused tires, calipers, and more.

Maserati will only produce 62 units of the Project24 hypercar when it releases in 2023.
