The 'Pizzaiola' Robot Can Prepare Up to 50 Pizzas Per Hour

Illinois-based Nala Robotics is offering a high-tech pizza robot that is designed to make it easier than ever for restaurants and pizzerias to go about crafting delicious pizza that attracts customers, whilst mitigating the reliance on human chefs and staff.

The 'Pizzaiola' takes the form of a compact kitchen that includes a pizza oven, storage space, preparation platforms and a robotic arm that is capable of moving across seven axes, allowing it to carry out all the pertinent tasks that go into making a great pizza. Orders can either be placed through a self-serve kiosk screen or a human cashier.

The pizza robot itself is capable of working with four different types of dough, 35 toppings and cheeses and four sauces. Nala Robotics states that 'Pizzaiola' is capable of making up to 50 pizzas per hour. Leased for rates starting at $7,000 per month, this pizza robot will appeal to restaurant owners and pizzerias who want to churn out delectable pizzas by leveraging the latest robotic technologies.
